Our History

Established in 1980, Ensign Yachts has grown to become the premier yacht group in Australia, with hundreds of listings at any one time on our Australian and global databases. With a presence across Australia, including the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Mosman and Pittwater in NSW, the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria and Fremantle in WA, our operation is more extensive than any other yacht business in the country. 

In 2019, the Ensign Yachts Group welcomed new management and corporate ownership with experienced businessman and sailor Sean Rush teaming up with long-term director Andy Howden. Under Sean and Andy’s leadership, Ensign Yachts has earned a reputation for professionalism and has consolidated its position as Australia’s premier yacht group and exclusive dealer of premium yacht brands.

Our Team

The Ensign Yachts team consists of more than 25 passionate yacht experts. Our professional sales team has vast experience in the marine industry. Among our team are former Super Yachts skippers, engineers, world-class competitive sailors, blue water sailors with trans-ocean experience, as well as game fishing, power boat and coastal cruising enthusiasts. Their accumulated knowledge and extensive local and international networks come from many years’ on-the-water experience in Australia and around the world. Our team like nothing more than to use that knowledge to forge long-term relationships with our customers.
